PLANNED GIVING
Every act of giving is personal and unique. Being a part of our Legacy Society, by remembering our Fairfield County seniors through a will, trust, designation, or other planned gift, will have substantial meaning and impact. Legacy Society members share a dedication to helping our senior friends, family, and neighbors. They often have a soft spot in their hearts, remembering when they delivered meals or how a family member was helped by our services. Legacy Society members wish to see this wonderful work continue within our community for decades to come.
All too often, meaningful planned giving gifts go unrecognized because they come at the end of the donors' lives. Forward-thinking donors have the ability to plan a legacy gift, regardless of current assets or income.
Your legacy gift will be recognized through our Legacy Society membership list. If you have already included, or intend to include The Senior Hub/Meals on Wheels of Fairfield County in your will, trust or other planned gift, we encourage you to notify us so we may honor you as a member. It is our greatest pleasure to recognize and thank all donors during their lifetimes.

STOCK TRANSFERS
It is very easy to transfer stock as a gift to Meals on Wheels Agency Fund. The agency maintains a fund through the Fairfield County Foundation to receive gifts of this type. The IRS allows you to make a transfer of appreciated stock to a non-profit organization without recognizing capital gains on the appreciation. You must use publicly-traded stocks, bonds or mutual shares and you must have held these for more than one year. This allows you to not only make a gift to The Senior Hub/Meals on Wheels, but receive an additional tax benefit. Consult your investment representative or accountant for guidance.
